Week 1 Day 1

Today Patty and I met with Deb this morning at Jack's in New, London. We discussed strategic ideas for how we are going to approach the writing process as a whole, and how to organize our thoughts in a helpful way. Patty and I each made individual "story clouds" which are diagrams to organize one's beginning thoughts of a story. We compared our "story clouds" with one another, and them seemed to come to a consciences on our story being based on a turtle who deals with pollution in his environment. Patty and I still have many kinks to work out with our story, but we are both super psyched about getting our thoughts down, and agreeing on a story line. I had to go back to school for my AP Bio class, but Patricia was able to meet with David Elliot and ask him many questions about his writing process, and how he incorporates another artists illustrations with his literature. Patricia and I are now researching Marty Kelley who is an illustrator/author. Patty and I get to go and meet with Marty Kelley tomorrow down towards manchester! We are off to an amazing start with our project, and I can't wait to see our finished project!
